At UHS Employees Federal Credit Union, we believe that it’s never too early to start learning the value of saving — and we’ve just made it more fun than ever! We’re excited to unveil some wildly fun updates to our Youth Account program, designed just for kids 12 and under.
Welcome to the Adventure!
When a child opens a Youth Account in person, they’ll now receive:
- A personalized welcome letter (aka their safari guide!)
- A UHS-branded drawstring backpack — perfect for carrying treasures and showing off their Credit Union pride
- Their own membership card
- A fun way to track their savings with passport stamps earned for every $5 deposit
- A special birthday card, plus a $5 birthday deposit when they visit us during their birthday month
Say Hello to Gerald the Giraffe!
We hosted a special mascot naming contest and thanks to one of our amazing young members, our friendly giraffe finally has a name — Gerald! Keep an eye out for Gerald as he helps guide your child on their savings journey.
Earning & Learning with Every Visit
Kids can stop in each month to make a deposit (with a parent or guardian) and work toward their very own “safari savings” goals. Plus, with birthday bonuses, saving money has never been so rewarding!
Perks for Parents Too
Parents receive full access to monitor their child’s account, plus educational resources on teaching financial wellness early — including tips on digital safety and identity protection for kids.
